Behind Galaxy A71's symmetrically aligned 6.7" Infinity-O Display, Super AMOLED Plus color technology delivers real-to-life color in everything you watch and do; from gaming and movies to web-surfing and multi-tasking. The Samsung Galaxy A71 is priced in the range of $352-370 and it succeeded Samsung Galaxy A70 in the series. This phone boasts of a 64 MP quad-lens camera and a Snapdragon 730 SoC processor. The phone offers the Android 10 system and 6GB or 8GB RAM with 128 GB internal memory.

Product Review

The Galaxy A71 is slightly bigger than A51, it offers a 6.7” screen with a Super AMOLED Plus display. The Galaxy A71 offers a 1080X2040p display unit and GSM/LTE/HSPA networking services. Despite the 6.7” screen, the phone weighs 179g and is, therefore, easy to hold in hand. The phone ranges from 1400-1600 AED.

  • Super AMOLED Plus Display Screen
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC
  • 6, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal
  • 4500 MAH strong and Durable battery
  • 64MP Quad-lens camera
  • GSM/HSPA/LTE networking facility

Display and Design

This phone offers a super AMOLED Plus display and 6.7" screen. Despite its size, this phone weighs 179g and has a sleek body that is only 7.7mm thick. A71, just like A51, has a Glastic panel, which makes it sturdy.

Memory and Storage

This phone features 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. However, consumers have complained of bloatware which has resulted in slowing the phone and using a large part of the RAM even while the phone is left unused. This seems to be a huge problem, as the demand of the day is gadgets with fast processing and good multi-tasking abilities.

Gaming Performance

This phone has delivered on gaming well as evident from the appreciation of the consumers. Highly intensive mobile games such as Call of Duty, PES, or PUBG are running smoothly, with great graphics. These games also look excellent on the Super AMOLED Plus display.

Quad-lens cameras

The most heavily lauded feature of this phone is its camera. Samsung has set up a multi-camera system in the phone. The quad camera at the back includes a 64 MP primary lens, 5MP macro lens, 12MP wide-angle lens and 5MP depth sensing lens which provides a combination of depth, wide-angle and zooming capacity during photography. The front camera has included a 32 MP f/2.2 primary sensor. The image quality is excellent in daylight, photos in natural light come out well, but low light images still seem to be a bit of a disappointment. Mobile photographers can generally rely on this quad-camera powered phone for a satisfactory experience.

Battery Life

The 4500 MAH battery also seems strong and durable, and a desirable asset in such phones these days. The phone can easily withstand heavy use for a day without being charged. Thus, average use can be easily performed over a day without charging this phone.

Pros

  • 6.7inch display screen with a new Super AMOLED Plus display.
  • Strong and durable 4500 MAH battery.
  • Sleek design, weight not more than 179g.
  • The back camera boasts of a 64 MP primary lens, 5MP macro lens, 12MP wide-angle lens, and 5MP depth-sensing lens, along with a 32 MP front camera, which provides a good photographic experience with high image quality.
  • Swift and satisfactory performance in gaming, especially with high-intensity games such as Call of Duty or PUBG; excellent graphics.
  • 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory provides a good experience for storing data and information.

Cons

  • Bloatware fills up space in RAM.
  • The phone often gets slow while working.
  • Not impressive in low-light photography.

Final Verdict

Overall, this phone delivered great results on most accounts. The sleek finish, powerful quad-lens, improved processor and graphics impressed most consumers.  However, bloatware from different software have reportedly slowed down its performance and needs to be addressed by Samsung.
